We are delighted to advise all members and friends of De La Salle Palmerston FC, that Our Club has received approval from the Department of Revenue, that allows Tax Relief on Donations to the club, which are used to repay borrowings associated with our recent Capital Spend, which was in excess of €500,000 (which involved upgrading Clubhouse facilities, pitches upgrade and the installation of match quality Floodlighting).
In order to qualify for this tax relief the minimum Donation in any calendar year in €250.
For example, a Donation of €300 from a 41% PAYE taxpayer is worth €508 to DLSP as the Club can claim a refund of the tax paid by the individual.
Self-Assessed individuals or Companies, can claim the tax relief themselves in their tax returns, ie a Donation of €508 will cost the Self-Assessed taxpayer €300 net.
Since the announcement of this development we have had a very positive response from the members. While we are aware of the many demands on Club members, we hope that those who may not have been aware of this scheme, may consider supporting this tax efficient fundraising initiative.

Please note that donations may be given by Cheque or by Standing Order, for example a Standing Order of €25 per month for 12 months or €37.50 per month for 8 months would give DLSP a most welcome and appreciated annual Donation of €300. We need these tax efficient Donations to meet the monthly repayment of €900 on our Loan from AIB/IRFU of €75,000
