Congratulations to J4 Captain Gavin Ross and his wife Sharon, on the birth of their first child, a baby boy Michael yesterday. With Gavin being a true blue Leinster die hard supporter & Sharon a loyal Munster supporter, it will be interesting to see what jersey Michael will be wearing on his first visit to Kirwan Park!!One thing is for sure there’ll be a Salmo jersey on over it!

The Management Committee would like pass on their condolences’ to club member Peter Ashbrowne and his family, on the death of his mother early this week. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Salmo Calling!!

The success of Leinster & indeed Irish rugby, in recent years has been a key factor to the huge surge in the increase of playing members at DLSP over the last few seasons.

Last season they fielded adult teams at 1stxv (AIL Division 2), J1, J3, J4,J5, U-21, U-19 and Vets, at their 16 acre site at Kirwan Park Kilternan.

Next season they will field at all the above mentioned levels and will also enter a team at J2, meaning there will be 9 adult teams representing the club.

A recent investment programme (in excess of €500K), has seen numerous developments to the facilities improving their impressive 16 acre site.

In particular the recent addition of two certified match standard floodlit pitches and viewing balcony, has been very well received.

To help cater for these increased playing numbers, we are very keen to recruit additional players (beginners very welcome) and anyone who maybe interested in coaching or helping out, in any voluntary capacity.

DLSP is a very open club, with a strong focus on playing the game of rugby and feeling part of a club that is renowned for being hospitable and welcoming to new members

So if you live in Sandyford, Leopardstown, Dundrum, Ballinteer, Carrickmines, Stepaside, Churchtown or the general area, and have played rugby before or want to learn how to play, please contact: Conor McCormick on 087 2416934 (Director of Rugby) or Gavin Stokes (087 9581766) or Peter Tunney (087 82596290).

We will be having an open day for the club on Saturday 23rd July and you are very welcome to come along to see the facilities and meet people from the club
