FIRST TEAM TO PLAY THEIR THIRD LEAGUE GAME TOMMORROW AT HOME!!!!
Last week the first team had their second league in two games, when they beat Gorey down in Gorey by 25-21. Gorey hadn't been beaten at home in 3 years and with 15 minutes to go we were behind 21-8, an excellent finish saw us winning 25-21. Thanks to everyone who travelled down to support the team, it was genuinely appreciated by all the players.
Tomorrow Saturday at 3pm, we play our third League game, when we take on Ashbourne at home.
We would like to use this opportunity to thank David Lillis of Office365 who is sponsoring Saturdays game, Cllr Kevin Daly who is sponsoring the match ball and Joe Lee of Stepaside Eye Care who is very kindly sponsoring a pair of designer shades which will be raffled in the bar after the game. Tania and her husband Simon celebrated their son Serge's birthday with us and Serge told us that his best birthday present on the day was a SALMO jersey!!
Tania was also presented with a trophy by our Women's team for her exceptional contribution to Irish Women's Rugby. Tania kindly sent us the following thank you note,
“Thanks so much to everyone in DLSP for the great afternoon we spent there on Sunday. It reminded myself and Simon what a great family club it is!
