Do you have a child that would like to play rugby? Maybe you yourself have not played rugby in a few years and would like to play again? or did you move to Dublin and are looking for a Senior club to join? Maybe you play Tag rugby and would like to try the full contact game? Maybe you would you like a New challenge at a New club? or perhaps you have never played rugby before and would like to give it a try?
If you live in the Sandyford, Leopardstown, Dundrum, Ballinteer, Carrickmines, Stepaside, or Churchtown area and the answer is YES to any of the above questions, then come along to your local Leinster Senior Club De La Salle Palmerston at Kirwan Park in Kilternan, where new members and beginners at the Mini/Youths and adult player levels are welcome all year long.
We are the only Leinster Senior Club to have their clubhouse and home grounds in this area and are renowned as being a very open club, with a strong focus on playing the game of rugby and enjoying feeling part of a club that is hospitable and welcoming to all new members.
A recent investment programme, which was in excess of €500,000, has seen numerous developments to the facilities at the impressive 16-acre site. In particular, the recent addition of two certified match standard floodlit pitches and a viewing balcony will benefit the club's players and teams.
This our 39th season as Leinsters oldest Mini/Youth section and will fields from U-6's to U-18's, along with "The Salmo Eagles", which is a team for players with special needs.
This season we will field adult teams at 1st XV (Ulster Bank League Division 2b), J1, J3/ J4, J5 & under-20 levels.
To help cater for these increased playing numbers, we are very keen to recruit additional players at all levels and also anyone who may be interested in coaching or helping out, in any voluntary capacity, is very welcome.
